I'm not so much into gore and guts as I am into playful spooky. Give me a graveyard in New England on a fall evening, add a bit of scare, and you have the ultimate Halloween setting, for me.
Here's a Pin I saw last Halloween -
Ghostly Figa'
So this year I thought I'd give it a go...
I grabbed some chicken wire from my backyard and tried following the instructions from the Pin.
1st; unless you know how to sculpt chicken wire, you are in for a learning experience. Wear gloves.
I flubbed my way through some shapes:
I wish I had taken more pix...it was so frustrating, but I had a heck of a time shaping the head, I couldn't for the life of me, shape this figure like the PIN, but I'm happy with the shape it took on...kinda like Michelangelo's David, the ghost was living in that chicken wire, somewhere, I just had to find him....
I painted the ghost with some white spray paint, when the sun hit it, it glowed...kinda cool?
However, it still looked like chicken wire to me.
I spray painted it with glow in the dark paint and moved it into the pumpkin patch, I'll take a night pic of it so you can see how ghoul (cool) it looks.
Not the best picture, but there she is....
Test Results: I give this Pin a B for creative idea, a D for non-user friendly instructions and a B+ for end result satisfaction.
NOTE: The end result should be how satisfied the Pinner is with the outcome, not how talented the Pinner is, we all have our own level of skill, no judgement of skill level here........
